The New Orleans Pelicans can’t shoot. According to NBA Advanced Stats, they’re shooting just 32.7% from deep, good for 29th in the NBA. They continued their poor shooting two nights ago against the Jazz, making just 6 of their 26 three-pointers, resulting in a 118–102 loss for the Pelicans. The Pelicans have lost six of their last seven, while the Jazz have won six straight, five of which were by double digits. There are only two NBA teams who are top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency — The Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz. The Jazz have been wildly impressive to start the season, ranking above average in nearly every metric. I think it's safe to say at this point that the Jazz are an excellent team. The Pelicans have an awkward roster that doesn’t seem to gel together. Zion Williamson has been solid, especially lately, but I can’t say the same about anyone else on this roster. Lonzo Ball is officially a bad basketball player, and Eric Bledsoe hasn't done a lot to help this team. In overall net rating, The Jazz are 4th, while the Pelicans are 22nd. This spread should probably be double digits, so I see no reason not to back the Jazz again tonight.
